Philosophy

Kindermusik's philosophy is founded upon rigorous research and our fundamental beliefs:

  • Every parent is the child's most important teacher.
  • Every child is musical.
  • The home is the most important learning environment.
  • Music nurtures a child's cognitive, emotional, social, language, and physical development.
  • Every child should experience the joy, fun, and learning which music brings to life.

History of Kindermusik

The Kindermusik International programs are based on ideas first developed in Germany back in the 1960s as Musikalische Früherziehung, or music for the young child. These ideas were brought over to America in the 1970s, translated into English and further developed for children from infancy to seven years of age.

Kindermusik now reaches children around the globe in over 30 countries. Our music, songs and rhythms have come to reflect this multi-cultural world.

What Parents are saying!

My daughter started Kindermusik Village Class at the age of 4,5 months and she enjoyed the singing, dancing and swaying a lot. As she grew, so did her interest in instruments grew and now, at the age of 2, she loves to sing the songs and dance to the music. We now visit Family Time class so our little boy (6,5 months) can also benefit from such early musical experience. I'm glad to have discovered Kindermusik which does not only have a positive effect on the children's listening and coordination skills but also on their language development and self-esteem. It surely is the beginning of a lifelong love of music.
